Field Trips and Touring Shows
FIELD TRIP SHOWS!
Austin Scottish Rite Theater offers exciting, educational live theater productions for students throughout the school year. Choose field trip shows to see plays in our historic theater, or we can bring a touring show to your campus.
2023
2022 - 2023
For Public/Private School Groups:
For Field Trip Dates click on ‘BOOK NOW’ by the show you wish to attend, select the dates and reserve your spots.
- COST:
- $8 per student
- $5 per student for Title I Schools
- Free admission for teachers.
- $10 per additional adult or child. (Individual tickets for parents and siblings may be purchased at the door.)

Groups are welcome to reserve spots for Field Trip Dates, or Weekend shows.

TOURING CAMPUS SHOWS: We come to you
To request a touring show to come to your campus, contact us by email or by phone at 512-472-5436.
Scottish Rite will contact you within a couple of days to confirm.
- COST:
- Flat rate is $600 for any size audience ($450 for Title I Schools)
Armadillo
Armadillo Alice
Based on Alice in Wonderland, Alice dreams she’s an armadillo and wakes up with a new appreciation for books and reading.
Puppetry, music and audience participation bring this story to life! Ideal for kindergarten through 2nd grade.
Written and performed by Austin’s own Laura Freeman.
Armadillo Alice is available for school shows at your school.

Saves
Iris Saves the World of Black and White
he Land of Black and White is ruled by a king who has banned all color. It’s up to Iris and the kids to bring back color to the land. This very interactive puppet show mesmerizes children. They get to play trumpets with sunflowers and sing lullabies to whales. Ideal for pre-K through 1st grade.
Written and performed by Austin’s own Laura Freeman.
Iris Saves the World of Black and White is available for school shows at your school.
Show time is 30 minutes, best for groups of 150 or fewer.
